Hai,

I am a Masters student.I thought of studying systemverilog on my own.I was not able to find any documentation /Tutorial /free books,any links regarding this will be more helpfull.Is there any free simulator for systemverilog.Could you please help me regarding where to start.

http://www.systemverilog.org is the main repository for SystemVerilog documentation, including LRM and technical papers/tutorials. Project Veripage http://www.project-veripage.com/dpi_tutorial_1.php contains SystemVerilog DPI tutorial.
There are no free simulators for SystemVerilog, and commercial ones do not support the full standard yet. Currently, VCS from Synopsys is leading simulator from SystemVerilog support prospective.

The SystemVerilog Now! seminar handout has lots of interesting stuff in it, but it doesn't seem to be available lurking on the web, although I do have the PDF file on my PC...

Problem with availabilty of free tools is that the commercial tools haven't really got their acts together in terms of fully supporting the language.
