Hi
What are the various parameters that should be taken into account for the evaluation of a STA
tool .
Cheers!

Few suggestions:
1. Performance (speed, capacitance)
2. Interoperability with the other tools (Synthesis, DFT etc)
Interoperability with synthesis tool is very important factor. Since synthesis tool peforms timing optimization using information extracted from the STA tool, it is very important to have good communication between these tools.

Alexander Gnusin
PS comg.lang.verilog newsgroup may be more appropriate place for the questions related to STA, synthesis etc. Otherwise, you may post your questions to John Cooley's ESNUG or read users comments in his ESNUG archive. |
