I have opted for daily digest option. On somedays when there are no posts I still get an
empty digest. It will be great if you could fix this to send the digest only when there are
any new posts.

I believe you can turn this off by deselecting the option "Send a digest if no new messages were posted" under the digest menu. This seems to work for me.
